Doing map completion of Central Tyria as well as the LWS1 and LWS2 maps like Dry Top and Silverwastes should give you enough hero points to unlock at least 70-80% of one elite specialization. To sum it all up, you don't need worry about not having enough hero points to spend on a utility skill or specialization trait that you may or may not like.
If so it looks like it'd require about another 93 skill points to unlock the elite specialization and the skills that come with it, so you'd need about 160 skill challenges completed (out of 213 in the game, including the 189 for world completion and the rest in Dry Top/Silverwastes/WvW maps).
Itās 400 points total to unlock everything in an elite spec training line ā I just canāt remember off hand how many points folks have currently if they have done all the existing ones, but itās right around 200. The rest youāll need to earn in jungle to unlock the deeper skills/traits/etc. in the training line.

Yes, it is quite good in solo open world. That includes soloing campions/legendaries, BUT it requires two components - 1) correct build (you need to go either celestial gear or trailblazers gear, i recommend first), 2) a good build based on elite spec (u can go with any elite spec that suits u, but i personally find it easier on weaver, but im biased here).
